Sam Baugh is a high school government teacher and candidate for Nevada State Assembly District 26 who has dedicated his career to civic education, community leadership, and public service.

Sam holds a master’s degree in political management from George Washington University, where he developed a strong foundation in public policy, leadership, and the democratic process. As a government teacher, he works to prepare the next generation of informed and engaged citizens, helping students understand how government works and why participation in democracy matters.

Beyond the classroom, Sam is deeply involved in the local community. He serves as the race director for the Rock Tahoe Half Marathon, coordinating an event that brings athletes and visitors together while promoting health, outdoor recreation, and community engagement.

Sam is also a passionate endurance athlete. An avid runner, cyclist, and triathlete, he has competed in numerous marathons. The discipline and perseverance required in endurance sports mirror the values he brings to public service.

Sam is married and the proud father of two grown children. Through his work as an educator, community leader, and athlete, he remains committed to strengthening Nevada’s communities and ensuring a bright future for the next generation.
